Hi everyone!

I really hope you find a safe, comfortable, entertaining, interesting, and thought-provoking space on this blog.

Let me try to introduce myself. I'm a queer woman in my late 20s. I work as a STEM education researcher in academia, though I'm trying to leave academia.

I'm from the west coast, and I now live far from my original home with my fiance and our cat.

I love reading. Some of my favorite books are I Capture the Castle, Elder Race, The Wife Upstairs, Northanger Abbey, Ella Enchanted, The Chosen and the Beautiful, Wordslut, The Book Thief, Life of Pi, Anne of Green Gables, and so on and so forth. I am also the type of person who has tons of hobbies, and I love crocheting, playing video games, drawing, trying new artistic pursuits, thrifting, going to the movies, playing with my cat, baking, cooking, etc. Some of my favorite movies are Jojo Rabbit, Paddington, The Artist, Hugo, Howl's Moving Castle... look, I really just think that children's books make incredible movies. My ultimate favorite tv shows are Orphan Black and Star Trek: Discovery, although Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is good too.

I have one tattoo, and I want so many more.

If you can't already tell, I'm a huge nerd. I enjoy cosplaying at comic-con. Probably my favorite so far has been my rainbow Captain Marvel outfit, in which I got a picture with Tessa Thompson.

I also adore music, and I have like over 500 playlists on Spotify. Spotify Wrapped is a big time of year for me.

I'm a socially anxious person, and many of my friends have moved away for school or work, so I'm looking to create more of a community! Please feel free to connect in this space. I'd love to start conversations.
